Elizabeth Lambert Attacks - New Mexico Lobos vs BYU Cougars

Haaa..have u watch it? so...
what do you guys think?
Due to her action, she have been suspended for physical play vs. BYU

University of New Mexico defender Elizabeth Lambert, a junior, was suspended indefinitely by Coach Kit Vila after a flagrant display of violent outbursts during a semifinal game against Brigham Young University. Throughout the game Lambert engaged in unnecessary and at times, dangerous conduct against several BYU players. You can watch highlights of the incident in the video above.

Lambert did issue an apology which was posted on the school's website and while it carries all the hallmark traits of an apology it doesn't add up in anyway to the behavior displayed throughout the game.

"I am deeply and wholeheartedly regretful for my actions. My actions were uncalled for. I let my emotions get the best of me in a heated situation. I take full responsibility for my actions and accept any punishment felt necessary from the coaching staff and UNM administration. This is in no way indicative of my character or the soccer player that I am. I am sorry to my coaches and teammates for any and all damages I have brought upon them. I am especially sorry to BYU and the BYU women's soccer players that were personally affected by my actions. I have the utmost respect for the BYU women's soccer program and its players."

Soccer, like any sport, has an element of contact, and certainly injuries can happen inadvertently in the course of play, but what Lambert did is nothing short of a borderline homicidal rage. This young woman, punched a player in the back, kicked a player in the face and grabbed one BYU player's hair so hard it knocked her flat on her back in an a manner that could have caused her serious injuries. This is not the one-time actions of an overly-excited player. This is behavior from someone who has no business playing at the college level. If you can't win fairly, then what's the point?
